Medical Billing Certify ("we", "us") provides free online medical billing and coding education at medicalbillingcertify.com. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information from Google Sign-In: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We use these only to create your account and personalize your experience.
• Enrollment information: your country and city, your acceptance of our Terms and Privacy Policy, and any optional profile details you choose to provide, such as education, work status, company, referral source, or a WhatsApp number.
• Learning progress: we store your course progress, quiz results, flashcard reviews, and certificates so you can resume across devices.
• Certificate delivery information: if you request a printed certificate, we receive the mailing address and contact details you provide to fulfill that request. We do not ask for a home address during course enrollment.
• Job posting and application information: employers may provide organization, role, location, compensation, and application details. Candidates may provide relevant experience, location, phone number, a resume or professional-profile link, and an application message. Your signed-in name and email identify your submission.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

How we use it

• To confirm enrollment, notify you when the course opens, operate the learning platform, save your progress, issue eligible course-completion certificates, and fulfill electronic or printed certificate requests.
• To understand where learners are located and improve the program. Optional profile answers are not required to enroll.
• To improve the courses and platform experience.
• To review job listings, prevent fraudulent or irrelevant postings, process applications you choose to submit, and allow authorized administrators to contact candidates or connect them with the employer responsible for the listing.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

Sharing

We use service providers only as needed to operate the platform. This includes our website hosting provider and Google services used for sign-in and enrollment operations. Enrollment records may be delivered through Google Apps Script to a restricted Google Sheet, and Google email services may be used for essential enrollment and course-opening messages. A WhatsApp number is collected only if you expressly opt in to WhatsApp updates. When you apply for a job, authorized administrators may share the application with the employer associated with that listing for recruitment purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account, enrollment record, and progress while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to operate and protect the program. You may ask to access, correct, or delete your account data by emailing hr@ergmd.com. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or certificate verification.

Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical measures. Please never submit real patient health information (PHI) anywhere on this platform.

Children

This service is intended for adult learners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page.
