Where this takes you

One diploma, three doors

01
Get hired in billing

Billing companies and provider offices worldwide hire on demonstrated skill — onsite or remote. Walk in already fluent in claims, denials, and A/R.

02
Work for yourself

Serve U.S. practices directly as an independent biller — you find the clients, you set the rates. Your practice-lab portfolio is the proof they ask for.

03
Level up where you work

Already in healthcare admin or billing? Part 4 — AI, denials, analytics — is the skill set that moves you up.

Credential-ready

Built to map to the industry's exam blueprints

And if a recognized credential is part of your plan — now or later in your career — you'll arrive prepared: the modules map to the domains tested by the main U.S. billing credentials.

CPB (AAPC)

Payer models, registration & data capture, code sets for billers, claim forms, medical necessity, A/R, denials & appeals, compliance — covered across Modules 1–15.

CBCS (NHA)

Billing, regulatory compliance, claims processing, and front-end duties — the four CBCS domains track Parts 1–3 of this program.

CMRS (AMBA)

Terminology, code sets, clearinghouses, CMS-1500, insurance & managed care, compliance, fraud & abuse — mirrored across the curriculum.

CPB, CBCS, and CMRS are credentials of AAPC, NHA, and AMBA respectively. Medical Billing Certify is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations; exam registration and fees are separate. Our Part 4 (AI, security, analytics) goes beyond current exam blueprints.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is it really free?
Yes — completely free for everyone, worldwide. No fees, no card, no hidden charges, now or later.
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants a career in medical billing or coding — no prior healthcare experience required. We start from the fundamentals.
How long does it take?
The 20-module diploma includes about 54 total hours of lessons, guided practice, and assessments. Individual learning sessions are designed for about 1.5 hours. Most learners should plan 2–3 months to finish. You have six months from the date you start; if that deadline passes, you must re-enroll and restart from Module 1.
How do I receive my certificate?
Pass all required module assessments and the final exam to earn a verifiable diploma certificate. Then email hr@ergmd.com with your certificate ID and choose an electronic certificate or a printed copy mailed to the address you provide.
Can I take both diplomas?
Yes — you can earn both, but one at a time. Finish one before enrolling in the other.
Will this help me get a job?
The skills map directly to real billing roles, and graduates take them in different directions — getting hired at billing companies and provider offices (onsite or remote), working for themselves as independent billers, or moving up in a job they already have. ERG also hires from its top graduates. Outcomes aren't guaranteed, but you'll finish job-ready.
How is this different from paid certifications?
Traditional certification prep (typically $300–$1,000+) covers the classic revenue cycle. This diploma covers that and the 2026 layer most programs haven't added yet — AI & automation, denial prediction, electronic prior authorization, cybersecurity, and analytics — plus a hands-on practice lab. Free, with a verifiable certificate.
Does this prepare me for the CPB, CBCS, or CPC exam?
The Billing Diploma's modules map to the domains tested by the main U.S. billing credentials — CPB (AAPC), CBCS (NHA), and CMRS (AMBA) — so you can finish free and sit one of those exams already prepared (exam registration and fees are separate, and we're not affiliated with those organizations). CPC is a coding credential — that's the path our upcoming Medical Coding Diploma supports.
